The least we can say is that DeFi has not been on crypto investors’ target recently, except maybe the part linked to Curve wars and liquidity pools.
Nevertheless, DeFi has completely changed the crypto industry for good. Without DeFi, crypto would not be where it is now. Many projects brought innovation on the table: Curve stable swap for stablecoins trading, Synthetix and the synthetic assets, Ren and the bridge for tokenized Bitcoins, Aave and the lending and borrowing platform, and many more. All these projects have revolutionized crypto markets and all of them are worth billions of USD in market capitalization but there is one project which also brought significant innovation in the debt markets and hedging risks and is not correctly valued by the market.
