The Next DeFi opportunities

Opportunities in DeFi

Decentralised finance was born within and thanks to Ethereum network. The first wave of successful DeFi projects were all found within Ethereum: Synthetix and their decentralised synthetic derivatives platform, Ren and the tokenised BTC, Aave and the lending and borrowing of crypto assets and many others.

We had studied these projects for months and they have all already skyrocketed more than 10x. Chances are, you got in it and could benefit from it as well and make good money.

But what if you are a new player in DeFi?

Right now, there is no reason to FOMO buy at these valuation levels if you are new in the game, even to farm Compound or Balancer tokens for free.

Honestly, it is getting very difficult to find alpha in the DeFi scope within Ethereum. You are not going to do another 10x easily from here. We would not recommend to anybody to buy SNX at $2.8 or REN at $0.17 for example, even if we still believe they are worth more. The risk/reward ratio is not good enough for new players.

But investing in other smart contract chains might be a good investing strategy going forward. DeFi will be brought to all sauces and on all blockchains. DeFi is the buzzword you will see everywhere in a couple of months.

This is also where the next opportunity is: investing in other smart chains ready to support or already supporting DeFi. As always, there are worthwhile ideas and good projects but there are also a lot of scams or unnecessary projects which are going to come and ask for your hard earned money and you will have to be smart enough to not fall for it.

This is going to be 2017/2018 ICO madness all over again but at the DeFi sauce.

We have already discussed some ideas outside Ethereum for our premium subscribers such as:

  • Nash Exchange (NEX)

  • Switcheo (SWTH)

  • Another top idea which we won’t name.

  • Haven Protocol (XHV)

It is important to understand that our articles are not always bullish on the token analysed, as you might believe.

We do not have a crystal ball to research only good projects. Deep dive analysis is required to understand if a project is worth it or not.

However, we do believe we have to publish all our analysis, even if the project/token is not worth it because it can be as valuable as any other investment idea.

What’s next

We have already identified two other opportunities: one smart chain fully functional and ready to support DeFi dApps and a micro cap with a promising product which is still under development.

We will provide our detailed investment analysis once it is ready.
